Yenju Chen

Yenju is a passionate and experienced music educator offering violin, piano, vocal, drum lessons, composition, song writing, film scoring, music theory and fundamental music skill training. With a focus on guiding students to discover their talents, she provides step-by-step instructions to overcome difficulties and fosters confidence in their performances. Her patient approach helps students achieve any skill level, as evidenced by her students’ recent completion of the ABRSM certificate.

Yenju has a diverse range of musical interests, including classical, extreme noise rock, East and South East European folk music, and film scoring. She is a prolific violinist and composer that actively performs for several gigs in LA as well as her work has been screened at Indie Gathering Film Festival, CalArts Animation Open Show and CalArts Expo. She has earned a master in fine arts degree from California Institute of the Arts, studying with Karen Tanaka, Andrew McIntosh, Ulrich Krieger and Wolfgang Schweinitz.
