Karen Wu is a seasoned music educator and pianist with over 20 years of experience in piano instruction, collaborative performance, and student mentorship. She specializes in classical repertoire, music theory, and performance etiquette, guiding students of all ages to excel in recitals, competitions, and prestigious evaluations such as the Certificate of Merit and ABRSM exams.

Karen is well-versed in a variety of pedagogical methods, including Alfred, Bastien, Clark, Faber, and Suzuki. This versatility allows her to tailor lessons to each student’s learning style and musical goals. Her teaching blends a structured curriculum with creative exploration, nurturing both technical mastery and artistic expression.

Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Karen creates an inclusive, culturally sensitive learning environment where students from diverse backgrounds can thrive. In addition to her teaching career, Karen is an experienced accompanist and chamber musician, having collaborated with numerous artists. She holds both a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from California State University, Northridge. She is an active member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
