Emily Wu is an active violinist and violist currently residing in Los Angeles, California. Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Emily began her pursuit of a music career at an early age of 5. After receiving her undergraduate degree in violin performance with a minor in piano from the National Taiwan Normal University, Emily expanded her music career by earning her graduate certificate with full scholarship from Thornton School of Music at USC, under tutelage of Kathleen Winkler and Peter Marsh. Emily has worked with numerous world-renowned musicians such as Daniel Gaede, Seiji Kageyama, and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi. With her love of music, Emily has been teaching violin and piano and preparing students for competitions for over ten years. Her goal in teaching extends beyond simply passing on her knowledge and skills but also touching her students with the passion of musical performance. She shares experiences that are not found on method books, helping learners have a better grasp of communicating through music.
